It’s mum’s birthday today and she’s another year older but she doesn’t appear to be any wiser!
I’m so excited to tell you what dad and I are getting her! I wasn’t too sure to begin with but I’ve realised it could work to my advantage, so I’ve agreed… we’re getting her a puppy! She’s always wanted a border collie again (she had one when she was a child) and when we told her she was so excited. Hopefully we will get her around May time. I’m going to train her to be my slave!

Oh you are so lucky, Bailey, I have a cousin who is a Border Collie. Her name is Coco and she is the most polite dog ever. When I first met her, she waited for me to approach her. she let me sniff her and then she laid down and we traded head bumps. She even put some of her kibbles in my dish. (They taste awful, but I ate one and thanked her by giving her some of my treats)

Happy birthday to your human! Although my human is not a dog person at all, she says that border collies are cool! Only problem for you, Bailey, is that they are easy for humans to train, but not so much for kitties – they are herding dogs and yours may want to herd YOU! For 17 years my human’s boyfriend had a dog that was part border collie, and there was quite a bit of cat herding happening here… but that was before I came to live here.

Bailey please wish your mum a very Happy Birthday from Sam Wise and his mum. Just make certain you train that pup well.When my Mum’s daughter came to live with us she brought Seila, a, Rhodie ridge back X and Bella, a sooky German shepherd. I tore out a bit of fur in frustration, but they finally learned that I’m TOPCAT in this home.

That’ll really make for a full house when you are aboard Nocturne. Mom says that Border Collies are really beautiful with great personalities. You will have to make the rules for that puppy. Don’t let him pester you. He will think of you as a moving play toy at first but with guidance he will understand the boundaries

Happy birthday to your mom. A border collie on a boat will be … Interesting. They are notoriously hyperactive. Does that mean you’ll be on land a lot? I think that dogs are good swimmers. Maybe you can ride on his/her back in the water! That would be really cool
