The Balearic Islands

Hi furiends!

We are now back in Port Ginesta (just south of Barcelona) after a wonderful three weeks cruising around the Balearic Islands. We left the port and sailed to Menorca.

We had lots of fun meeting furiends and we enjoyed having some bays all to ourselves!

When we are on anchor we go ashore in the dinghy which is lots of fun! I usually sit on mum’s lap and I make April and Blue sit on the floor.

One benefit to cruising the Med in May, is there aren’t many boats about yet, but the disadvantage is that the weather is very changeable. So when the weather turned, we headed to Pollenca (a really beautiful protected bay) in Mallorca, to hide from strong winds. We met a pawesome Swiss couple, Robin and Iris, and we spent many wonderful evenings with them. (They also live on an Amel like us, but there’s is an Amel 54 which was interesting to see.) It was fun to have two beautiful boats, Titanium and Carré d’As anchored next to each other.

We sailed down to Palma to pick up Grandpa because he flew out to spend time with us for ten days. We all love grandpa because he gives us lots of treats.

Granny stayed at home with Bailey and all the rest of the family. Bailey sent us sausages and we were so excited!

We love keeping watch while we are on anchor. I ensure that April and Blue are doing it correctly.

Finally we sailed all around Ibiza which is so beautiful. We were so happy to buddy boat with Carré d’As and very sad when we parted ways. I hope that we will see them again soon though.

We had THE BEST TIME in Formentera because all of us were so happy and excited to be on the beach enjoying the sunsets. I have just posted a short video clip of it to our Facebook and Instagram pages if you’d like to see me run like the wind.

I’d like to wish you all a wonderful weekend!

Baci, Annabelle xo
