Birthday update!

Dear Furiends!

Today is my ninth birthday and I’ve just realised it’s been exactly one year since I posted on my blog. It’s the longest time I’ve ever gone without blogging and I’m so upset but I hope you’ll forgive me. You’ll notice it’s me, Bailey typing and not my little first mate, Annabelle.

As many of you wonderful furiends have guessed, all has not been well here. Our darling Annabelle passed away in January after a horrible accident.

Chihuahua at sea

Annabelle was larger than life, tiny but mighty and taken from us all far too soon. We will forever be grateful that we had her in our lives and know that she is waiting for us at the rainbow bridge.

Then of course the whole world reeled with the lockdowns due to the Coronavius. Mum, April and Blue are here with me in Cornwall because mum has been quite ill and recieving medical help.

Then we all suffered another loss when mum’s grandad died in May. Grandad was so special and the patriarch of the family. He was a true animal lover and we all absolutely adored him.

I do have some good news, a few months after losing Annabelle the stars aligned for us to welcome Phoebe into our family. She is quite the opposite temperament to Annabelle and yet we are sure that Annabelle sent her to watch over us.

Phoebe

Phoebe has brought us joy and smiles in our darkest moments over the past couple of months and I’m looking forward to training her as she grows up.

We are all devastated with our losses and are still quite frankly coming to terms with it. We know that so many others are also dealing with losses and we would like to send you all love and virtual hugs.

It is such an awful, terrible year for so many of us and I just wanted to come on today and to use my birthday wish to send you all health and happiness for the rest of the year.

I promise not to leave it so long before blogging again. Remember I love you all.

Bisous, Bailey

  14. Dearest Bailey, It is so fabulous to see and hear from you in the medium you made your own! Despite all of the hardships and sadness we’ve all experienced over the last few months, it is always hopeful and inspiring to stay in touch with old friends and share our mutual dreams.

We know that little Phoebe will take your cue about being a good doggie with maritime aspirations. We also know that April and Blue will do their pawts!

We are sure she is still a part of your lives and positive that she sent Phoebe to watch over you and bring you joy. We know she and Grandad will RIP at the bridge. 29. Hello Bailey! Happy belated Birthday….soon you will be 10 years old…time sure flies. I was reading one of ‘angel’ NYLABLUE’S last posts & you are mentioned alot.
I am sorry I lost contact with you & you Mom Louise & for your losses of AnnaBelle & Grandad. It sure has been a rough time since Covid descended on this world of ours.
Please give my regards to your Mom & have her give you a few **kissess** from me also. And welcome to sweet Phoebe to your family.
    Sincerely Sherri-Ellen
P.S.: After NYLABLUE I had Purrince Siddhartha Henry my Burmese boy. He was only with me for 4 years. After he joined his “Aunties” I adopted a Oriental Shorthair named BellaDharma…she has been here almost 3 years now & turns 9 yrs old next month.
