A final farewell

Dear Furiends,

I’m writing one last time to thank you all for your furiendship over the years. I have asked the humans to post this once I’ve gone as it is now my turn to go over the rainbow bridge. Try not to be sad, I have lived my nine lives to the full.

Born in the south of France I enjoyed my youth in an apartment in Nice, before falling in love with the ocean and becoming a boat cat moving to Rome to live on my beloved Nocturne. As you all know, I loved my life afloat and all of the sailing adventures. Then I was offered a book deal with Bloomsbury and I was so grateful that you all supported me every step of the way! I was given the honour of being appointed the first Ambassador at Sea for the Museum of Maritime Pets. Latterly, I moved to Lago Maggiore before retiring to beautiful Cornwall where I helped design and open the Kernow Cat Hotel which is the most luxurious hotel any feline could ever hope to stay in.

I wish all of you fair winds and following seas and most of all I wish you the greatest of furiends to share them with.

Thank you again.

Bisous,

Bailey

  25. We are sorry you have had to leave us, Bailey. But your next life will, I am sure, find you near the ocean you loved so much. As a Buddhist cat I know it is never the end of our journey, but the doorway to a new life as the essence that is us moves on to pastures and oceans anew. Till we meet, which I think we all do, thank you for being with us all. 💙
